Die Uhr „ZEITWANDEL“ steht für das allgegenwärtige Umdenken im Zusammenhang mit der weltweiten Klimaproblematik. Das tiefschwarze Uhrengehäuse aus Buchenholzkohle setzt ein Zeichen für den Einsatz von nachhaltigen Materialien.

Holzkohle ist ein nachwachsender Rohstoff, der über unser speziell entwickeltes Verfahren mit einem pflanzlichen Bindemittel gegossen und ausgehärtet wird. Bei dem Verfahren wird der Kohlenstoff gebunden und es entsteht eine nicht mehr abfärbende und harte Oberfläche.

Das Ziffernblatt besteht aus 780 Punkten, die je nach Lichteinfall unterschiedliche Glanzlichter und Reflexe erzeugen. Die Rückseite hingegen ist technisch ausgeformt und bildet die Aufnahme für das Uhrwerk.

"ZEITWANDEL" is a clock that stands for the omnipresent rethinking of the global climate problems. The deep-black clock casing, made from beech charcoal, takes a stand for the use of sustainable materials.

Charcoal is a renewable material. We mix it solely with a plant-based binding agent and water, creating a paste that can be molded into almost any shape. During the manufacturing process, the carbon is bonded, resulting in a strong and durable surface that does not rub off anymore.

The clock face consists of 780 points that create various highlights and reflections, depending on lighting. On its backside, the clock has a very mechanical shape that creates an attachment for the clockworks.
